Raja is corporate finance partner and leads the Western Region Markets for the Firm. Raja is qualified chartered accountant from India with 20 years of experience in the accounting and consulting world. He leads the private equity and venture capital initiative for the Firm and is part of the global technology steering committee group for Grant Thornton Global.
He has advised wide range of corporates, private equity and entrepreneurs from business strategy, corporate finance to leadership consulting and focuses on the “growth agenda”. He had led and advised for more than 240 deals and has advised Private Equity, Venture Capital Funds, Corporates (Indian and International).
Raja spent close to 14 years in KPMG India. He has experience in audit having been involved in audits of Multinationals such as Pepsi, Philips and Siemens and was one of the co-founders of KPMG Transaction Advisory Practice. Raja has advised vast range of clients which include Tata Group, Infosys, Wipro, GMR, Blackstone PE, Sequoia Capital, Kalaari Capital, TPG PE, etc on various M&A and PE situations.
Raja has also been part of the core team in the financial investigation of one of India’s biggest Corporate Frauds. Raja has advised many technology companies through its life cycle from start-ups to mid-sized to large companies on aspects of fund raising, organization growth, expansions and M&A and compliance matters.
Raja is an active speaker and has spoken at public forums in various Corporate and Private Equity & Venture Capital. Conferences and has been quoted in business newspapers.
Raja has also spoken at the Indian Institute of Management on various topics ranging from M&A, financial investigations and Private Equity.
